MEET THE FOUNDERS:

MORGAN WELLS

Picture
Morgan Wells is 16 years old and in love with the American Pit Bull Terrier and breeds alike. Morgan is very involved in the La Plata County Humane Society. She got in touch with  LPCHS in 2012, through Kids For Critters, one of their many programs. This led her first to interning, to Pit Bulls For People, and now to part-time employment. Aside from her work with LPCHS, Morgan is a competitive team gymnast, and a junior in high-school. She also enjoys reading, learning about animals, trying to find dogs perfect  homes, and playing with her 3 dogs at home!   She also  volunteers as often as she can with Soul Dog spay and neuter clinics. Soul Dog is an organization that goes onto the Navajo Reservation and spays/neuters animals for low cost, and also picks up strays. While Morgan is there, she assists the recovery team, helps  pick up stray dogs, works in surgery prep. and gives vaccinations (read about it at:   http://souldog.org/). She also helps with rescues.

WYLLOW HILDNER

Picture
Wyllow Hildner is a 16 year old athletic dog lover! She loves all dogs, but one breed stands out more than the others: The American Pit Bull Terrier. She first began to love "Pit Bulls" because of their strong figure and desire to please. But over the years, Wyllow learned more and more about the "Pit Bull" breed and about their reputation as so called "aggressive". Having past experience with "Pit Bulls," she knew that this was, in fact, false. She began volunteering at the La Plata County Humane Society in 2013 and met Morgan Wells. To this day, they try their hardest to convince people of the American Pit Bull Terrier's true temperament. Aside from Pit Bulls for People, she has 4 dogs at home,   and  volunteers as often as she can with Soul Dog spay and neuter clinics. Soul Dog is an organization that goes onto the Navajo Reservation and spays/neuters animals for low cost, and also picks up strays. While Wyllow is there, she assists the recovery team, helps  pick up stray dogs, and gives vaccinations (read about it at:   http://souldog.org/).
